Well-known Settle artist Sam Dalby is once again leading The Big Draw at The Folly, Settle on Sunday, 26 October from 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm. This is a nationwide event which encourages people of all ages to discover the pleasures of drawing, even if they think they can't draw! Sam has an amazing talent for bringing out the best in everyone and there is always a great deal of fun and laughter along the way. This year's theme is 'trains' and we're hoping to produce a stunning group picture. The event is free so come along, bring the whole family and let your imaginations run riot. All materials are provided. Children must be accompanied please. 50p donation to cover cost of materials. ![]() |

![]() The Christmas shopping morning was a great success, with over 50 customers in 2 hours. Visitors will have further opportunities to see the new shop and to buy some really original Christmas presents at our events on 29 November and 6 December. |

Fri 13-Jun-2014 | 'Tools as Art' 'Make it Slow' artist Sharon Adams will talk about the ideas behind her work, and the artworks in 'Make it Slow'. 7.30 pm Tickets: £7 in advance Artist Sharon Adams is fascinated by tools and the connection that we have with making, and the loss of handcrafting from everyday life. Her talk will focus on the ideas behind her work and the artworks in Make it Slow. Adams has also been exploring The Folly's own collection of tools and The Folly's Honorary Curator Anne Read will give an introduction to the collection. |
