Workshop: 'Well-known printer and print historian, Brian Aldred from Addingham, will be running a printing workshop in The Folly, Settle on Wednesday 16 May from 2 pm to 4 pm. Brian will be bringing along a pair of portable presses which he has painstakingly restored and a selection of blocks and type. Participants will be able to have a go at setting type using an old-style compositor's 'stick' and choosing ornaments from Brian's collection to produce their own personalised piece of text which they can then 'pull' on the press. |
