Events at The Folly 2009

Details and photos of exciting events that happened in 2008 are at: 2008.

The exhibition arising from Archive Alive runs from April to June 2009 in the Museum of North Craven Life at The Folly, Settle and is a spectacular, interesting, and exciting insight into local history. Examples and extracts of the exhibition are available on the website, notably the narratives from the displays, and some extracts of the music and the poetry readings. These may be found at:

Sheep to Shawl Day: Tues 30 June 2009

The St John's Hall Tuesday textile group had a go at producing something useful in just one day - carding and spinning fleece and then knitting it into squares. This is how they got on:

4pm - finished!  We made 48 'magic squares' and had more carded and spun left over. Next time we need more knitters!
